The Berthoud Spartans can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game  on Saturday. They breezed by Steamboat Springs on the road  to the tune of  61-22. Berthoud's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
  Avery Pfohl was  her usual excellent self,  scoring 26 points along with four  steals. The  matchup was  her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Rory Carr, who  scored eight points along with four  steals.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Steamboat Springs  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only three  assists. They  were crushed by their opponents in that department as Berthoud  racked up 16  assists.
 Berthoud's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Steamboat Springs, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
 Berthoud and Platte Valley will face off  at 7:00  p.m.  on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Colorado (Platte Valley is ranked 249th, while Berthoud is ranked 224th). Steamboat Springs will take on Telluride in a holiday battle at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday at.
