TCAF Division II District 2 (6 Man) recap Oct. 30, 2012
High Point Prep Academy extended the longest winning streak in TCAF Division II District 2 (6 Man) this week by beating Immanuel Christian, 71-18. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Eagles.
High Point Prep Academy took down the Warriors 71-18 last week, the largest margin of any game. Devin Glover threw for 205 yards and five touchdowns in the win.
Zach Sipe put up the best numbers through the air as Faustina Academy topped Community Christian. He finished with 13 completions for 254 yards and seven touchdowns. Sipe's favorite target this week was J P Rodriguez, who caught seven passes for 113 yards.
Nathaniel Staton was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 148 yards on five carries as Mike Lum's team defeated Immanuel Christian. Teammate Devin Gibson added to the ground attack by rushing for 60 yards.
Staton was the best wideout in the league this week as the Eagles beat Donnay Johnson's team. Staton tallied five receptions for 174 yards. Kurtis Kolanek helped High Point Prep Academy's passing attack out by catching one ball for 38 yards.
The Falcons' Sipe and Luke Stirton have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading TCAF Division II District 2 (6 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Sipe has thrown for 1463 yards this season, while Stirton has 32 catches for 689 yards. High Point Prep Academy's Staton leads the league in rushing yards with 1343.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Balch Springs Christian Academy takes on the Eagles. The Crusaders are in fourth place, while High Point Prep Academy is in first place.
Faustina Academy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,009 from 1,175. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 64-18 victory over the Warriors last week.
