The North Huron Warriors lost against the Dryden Cardinals back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. North Huron fell just short of Dryden by a score of 44-42. North Huron has not had much luck with Dryden recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
North Huron's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sara Koth, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Koth is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Champagne, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
North Huron's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8. As for Dryden, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Huron will face off against Mayville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully North Huron focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday. As for Dryden, they will head out on the road to take on Deckerville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
