After three games on the road, Edisto is heading back home. They will take on the Woodland Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edisto will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Woodland is ranked 53rd).
Edisto fought the good fight in their overtime match against Ridgeland-Hardeeville on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 49-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars.
Woodland posted their biggest win yet this season on Monday. They blew past Ridgeland-Hardeeville 71-35 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Woodland.
Edisto bumped their record down to 6-12 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Woodland, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
Edisto lost to Woodland at home by a decisive 47-32 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2023.
