Sonoran Science Academy has been on the road for three straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Imagine Prep Coolidge Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sonoran Science Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Sonoran Science Academy had to suffer through a rough 64-10 loss at the hands of Arrowhead Christian Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sonoran Science Academy has scored all season.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-28, which was the final score in Imagine Prep Coolidge's tilt against Tri-City Christian Academy on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Imagine Prep Coolidge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Tri-City Christian Academy is ranked 29th).
Sonoran Science Academy bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.3 points per game. As for Imagine Prep Coolidge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
