Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead David Crockett to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaliyah Story, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Story has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Doner, who scored 21 points along with five steals.
Tennessee's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for David Crockett, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tennessee will take on John Battle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. John Battle is coming into the match with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Tennessee will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for David Crockett, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cocke County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cocke County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
