Ash Fork/Seligman will venture away from home to square off against Northland Prep Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Ash Fork/Seligman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
Ash Fork/Seligman proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 18) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over Antelope.

Adrian Santoyo was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Ash Fork/Seligman's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-8 when he doesn't). Landon Howard also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Ash Fork/Seligman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Antelope only posted an OBP of .344.
Hopi typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Northland Prep Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Bruins. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Brock Cosper made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Tyler Cary and Cooper Skersick did most of the damage at the plate: Cary went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Skersick got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Skersick a new career-high. Blayden Cosper was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Ash Fork/Seligman's record is now 5-8. As for Northland Prep Academy, their record now sits at 6-7-1.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ash Fork/Seligman has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .510. However, it's not like Northland Prep Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .510. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Ash Fork/Seligman got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against Northland Prep Academy by a conclusive 17-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ash Fork/Seligman since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
