The LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals will venture away from home to face off against the Kingsland Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. LeRoy-Ostrander is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season.
It was a proper cat-fight when LeRoy-Ostrander duked it out withGoodhue on Saturday. LeRoy-Ostrander had to suffer through a 86-50 loss at the hands of Goodhue. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the defeat, LeRoy-Ostrander had strong showings from Reid Hungerholt, who went 7 of 15 en route to 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals, and Camden Hungerholt, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. That's the most steals Reid has posted since back in December of 2023.
Meanwhile, Kingsland came up short against Southland two weeks ago and fell 65-58. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Rebels are ranked 69th).
Loss or not, Kingsland got some senior leadership from Max Erdman and Parker Johnson. Erdman dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 boards, while Johnson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, Johnson is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Reiland, who put up six points and four steals.
Even though they lost, Kingsland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.
Kingsland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for LeRoy-Ostrander, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. LeRoy-Ostrander hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.7 points per game. However, it's not like Kingsland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 61.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
LeRoy-Ostrander lost to Kingsland on the road by a decisive 88-70 margin in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Erdman, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 20 rebounds. Now that LeRoy-Ostrander knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
