Palmer is a perfect 10-0 against Widefield since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Terrors will square off against the Gladiators at 6:00 p.m. Widefield took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Palmer, who comes in off a win.
Widefield will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Palmer extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Terrors walked away with a 3-1 win over Mesa Ridge.
Palmer got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 21-25, 31-29.

Palmer relied on the efforts of Audrenna Gemmeke-Hall, who had 13 digs and two aces, and Hailey Tong, who had 30 digs. Those 30 digs gave Tong a new career-high. Savannah Herrera also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Palmer was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in 13 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Widefield came up short against Coronado on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Widefield was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 26-24.
Palmer's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Widefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: Palmer has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Widefield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Palmer's way against Widefield in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Palmer made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Terrors since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
