Basketball Recap: Providence Athletic Club's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Providence Athletic Club won the last time they faced Augusta E, and Brody Tyler did his part to make sure it happened again. The Providence Athletic Club Panthers walked away with a 69-61 victory over the Augusta E Eagles on Tuesday thanks in part to Tyler, who went 11 of 25 on his way to 26 points and eight boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Nolan Reiser, who posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game.

Despite the loss, Augusta E still got an impressive performance from Jude Brouwer, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 boards. That was a full 44.3% of Augusta E's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. Ben Briley was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.

The win snapped Providence Athletic Club's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-11 record. As for Augusta E, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Providence Athletic Club has already played their next match (against Palmetto HomeSchool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Augusta E wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-48 victory against Mead Hall Episcopal School on the 30th.
