Jones is 0-10 against Pamlico County since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Jones Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Pamlico County Hurricanes at 5:00 p.m. Jones has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team is hunting for their first win since December 22.
Jones fought the good fight in their overtime game against Lejeune on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Devil Pups by a score of 37-34.
Meanwhile, Pamlico County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 54-50 to Northside - Pinetown.
Jones dropped their record down to 3-19 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Pamlico County, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Jones was taken down by Pamlico County 54-11 when the teams last played on Tuesday. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Jones was down 28-5.
