Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Avi Pollard and Satyra Scott Lead Kokomo to Victory

Kokomo won the last time they faced Richmond and things went their way on Friday too. The Kokomo Wildkats took down the Richmond Red Devils 67-49.

Leading Kokomo to victory were Satyra Scott and Avi Pollard. Scott went 8 for 13 on her way to 18 points, while Pollard posted 13 points. Those 13 points gave Pollard a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Regan McClain, who had eight points.

Kokomo is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Richmond, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Kokomo won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tippecanoe Valley at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Kokomo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season. As for Richmond, they and Lafayette Jefferson will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
