Belgrade is 8-2 against Great Falls since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Panthers will face off against the Bison at 3:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Belgrade has five straight wins, Great Falls has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Belgrade let Skyview stack six runs on them in the fourth inning on Thursday but luckily Belgrade prevailed anyway. The Panthers skirted past the Falcons 7-6.
Olivia Mills made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Rylee Feight was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Brooke Stump also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Russell hit Great Falls with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bison fell just short of the Rustlers by a score of 9-8.
Elliana Frank led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Saunders, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Belgrade pushed their record up to 12-4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Great Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
Great Falls' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Saturday. Belgrade has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Great Falls, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Belgrade keep running through batters, or will the Bison buck the trend?
Everything went Belgrade's way against Great Falls when the teams last played back in April, as Belgrade made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
