The Milken Wildcats were the 64-54 winner over the SEED: LA Grizzlies when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Milken took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of SEED: LA. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Milken came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while SEED: LA is ranked 1178th).
SEED: LA was led to victory by Breon Hill and Amour Escoe-Bailey. Hill dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds, while Escoe-Bailey dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hill pulled down eight or more rebounds. Jayden Fisher was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight assists and four steals.
Milken's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6. As for SEED: LA, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-8.
Milken will head out on the road to challenge SEED: LA at 5:20 p.m. on Monday. SEED: LA has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for they, they will play host again and welcome E, where tip off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. E is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
