Rockford Auburn extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Amir Danforth. The Rockford Auburn Knights managed a 69-65 win over the Wheaton Academy Warriors on Thursday thanks in part to Danforth, who went 13 for 26 on his way to 42 points in addition to five boards and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Rockford Auburn's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Royal Whitmore, who posted four points and seven boards. Those seven rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Rockford Auburn has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Wheaton Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-2.

Rockford Auburn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-60 defeat against Lane Tech on the 27th. As for Wheaton Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-36 victory against St. Rita on the 27th.
