Huntingtown won the last time they faced McDonough and things went their way  on Friday too. The Hurricanes put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp  24-3 victory. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by nine  runs or more this season.
 Jordyn Greever made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out 12 batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with five  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news, Huntingtown got a  massive  performance out of  Madalee Hunley, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Those  four  hits gave  Hunley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kayla Ripple, who  went 2-for-4 with six  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple.
Huntingtown's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 14-3. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for McDonough,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-9.
 Coming up, Huntingtown will venture away from home to  square off against La Plata  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Hurricanes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 9.8  runs per game this season. As for McDonough, they will square off against North Point at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
