Wichita County has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Sublette Larks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wichita County is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sublette in Kansas (Wichita County is ranked 22nd, while Sublette is ranked 323rd).
Wichita County stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Dighton, posting a 62-32 victory at home.
Meanwhile, sadly, Sublette is still looking for their first win of the season after 16 matches. They were outmatched by Southwestern Heights on the road and fell 55-25. Sublette found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 22 to 5 on offense.
Aneya Puentes put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 15 points.
Wichita County pushed their record up to 15-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sublette, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.
Everything came up roses for Wichita County against Sublette in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 83-12 win. Does Wichita County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sublette turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
