The Columbus Blue Devils lost against the Smiths Station Panthers back in January of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Columbus received a tough blow as they fell 60-41 to Smiths Station. Columbus has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cristina Christophe, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Lockhart, who scored 8 points.
Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Smiths Station, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Columbus will head out on the road to face off against Smiths Station at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. Smiths Station knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Columbus likes a good challenge. As for Smiths Station, they will look to defend their home court against Columbus at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Columbus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Monday.
