The Timberline Wolves are taking a road trip to take on the Owyhee Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Timberline comes in on six and Owyhee on 14.
While Timberline's victory against Boise wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolves' pitcher stepped up to hand the Brave a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The one-run effort marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The result came thanks to Delaney Wright's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Timberline's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ivy Norskog, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Owyhee faced Centennial in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Storm came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 16-11. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Storm, who until this contest were averaging 1.86 runs allowed.
Hailey Bock made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and nine unearned) runs off nine hits. Bock was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, Elysa Gaytan was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sobella Malliarodakis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Owyhee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centennial only posted an OBP of .324.
Timberline pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Owyhee, their record is now 14-0.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Timberline hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Owyhee struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Timberline couldn't quite finish off Owyhee in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
