Bishop Ireton waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They breezed by the Manchester Lancers to the tune of 86-42. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Bishop Ireton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amirah Anderson led the charge by going 5 for 10 on her way to 20 points and five assists. Anderson's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Theresa Hagans JR, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 20 points and three steals.

Anderson wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Bishop Ireton was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manchester only racked up two assists.

Manchester's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keileen Edwards, who posted nine points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Finley Weaver, who had 11 points.

Bishop Ireton's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.7 points per game. As for Manchester, their loss ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

Bishop Ireton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-43 victory against Bishop O'Connell on the 5th. As for Manchester, they will welcome Clover Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
