It was a good run, but The Titusville Rockets unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 38-12 loss at the hands of Oil City. The low total for Titusville limited their streak of high-flying scores to four in a row.
Despite the loss, Titusville still got an impressive performance from Jaxon Covell, who rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Covell is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
Titusville's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Oil City, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Titusville will be playing at home against Corry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Corry is ranked 410th, while Titusville is ranked 417th). Oil City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
