Navarre has enjoyed the comforts of home their last five games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Milton Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Navarre knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Milton likes a good challenge.
Navarre pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 77-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Walton Beach. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Monday (58), Navarre still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Milton put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Fort Walton Beach at home to the tune of 65-28. Considering Milton has won five matches by more than 19 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Christopher Jaylen mckinley was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Treymar Jones, who scored 13 points.
Navarre bumped their record down to 3-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Milton, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.
Navarre didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Milton in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 57-51 victory. Will Navarre repeat their success, or does Milton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
