Whitefield Academy waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 44-22 margin over the Rockwood Summit Falcons. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Whitefield Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noel Smith, who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Smith has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Sharon Riis also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Whitefield Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Whitefield Academy pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31 points. As for Rockwood Summit, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Whitefield Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-19 win against Bullitt Central on the 10th. As for Rockwood Summit, they have also already played their next game, a 60-22 defeat against Assumption on the 8th.
