California City found their leader in underclassman Cassius 'Hollywood' Brown, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Brown pulled down eight or more rebounds. Ty'Ron 'Eraser' Jones was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 14 rebounds and five blocks.
Despite the loss, Kern Valley still got an impressive performance from ED Bunting, who scored eight points.
California City pushed their record up to 11-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Kern Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
