Even though the Mansfield Senior Tygers scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the Trotwood-Madison Rams still came out on top. Trotwood-Madison came out on top in a nail-biter against Mansfield Senior and snuck past 58-55. The win made it back-to-back wins for Trotwood-Madison.
Trotwood-Madison's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tim Carpenter, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlon Howard Jr., who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Trotwood-Madison has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Mansfield Senior, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trotwood-Madison will square off against Wayne at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne is on a eight-game streak of home wins, Trotwood-Madison a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Mansfield Senior, they will head out on the road to square off against Madison Comprehensive at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield Senior is facing Madison Comprehensive at the right time seeing as Madison Comprehensive is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
