After a string of three wins, Spring Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Croix Central Panthers. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Katie Matthys paced Spring Valley's offense, picking up 11 kills. Matthys got some help from Addison Nelson and her 25 assists.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for St. Croix Central, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Spring Valley has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Cumberland on the 4th. As for St. Croix Central, they will challenge Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
