New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly is 1-9 against Williamsville since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Vipers will take on the Bullets at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They strolled past Olympia with points to spare, taking the game 48-32. Winning may never get old, but the Vipers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Michael Pecoraro out in front who rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 48 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The Vipers are undefeated when Pecoraro posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Conner Stinson, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly's defensive line and their three sacks. Leading the way was Cash Thomas with two. Thomas is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Wyatt Peters was another major factor on D, making 15 total tackles.
Meanwhile, Williamsville's game on Friday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They really took it to Athens for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-14 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bullets, who have now won five matchups by 31 points or more so far this season.
New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly better keep an eye on Matthew Miller. He was instrumental in Williamsville's win, rushing for 298 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Miller is now averaging an impressive 122.3 rushing yards per game. Jackson Sanders was another key player, throwing for 135 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly's record now sits at 4-2. As for Williamsville, their record is now 6-0.
Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Pecoraro and Miller. Pecoraro just won't slow down this season and has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 79.3 rushing yards per game. Miller has been a dominant force too and has run in 15 touchdowns while averaging 122.3 rushing yards per game.
New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly took a serious blow against Williamsville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 39-7. Thankfully for the Vipers, Braddock Cates (who rushed for 172 yards and two scores while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 30 yards and one TD) won't be suiting up this time.
