Early County walked away with a 54-47 win over Colquitt County on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for Early County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Early County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but K'eMarion Pugh led the charge by scoring 17 points. Pugh continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Zey'Treyvion Milton was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three blocks.
Early County pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Colquitt County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Early County and Bainbridge will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bainbridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Early County in Georgia (Bainbridge is ranked 97th, while Early County is ranked 225th). As for Colquitt County, they will head out on the road to face off against Brooks County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Brooks County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
