Meanwhile, Weld Central took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-7 victory over Valley. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.
Marcello Rossi was a one-man wrecking crew for Weld Central as he rushed for 279 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. Rossi was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
The win got Berthoud back to even at 1-1. As for Weld Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
