Hesperia had won six straight games dating back to last season and Dylanna Akwaboah did her part to make it seven on Tuesday. The Scorpions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Fontana Steelers thanks in part to Akwaboah, who had four digs, four aces, and one block. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season.

One reason for the win was Hesperia's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-9, 25-6.

Hesperia's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Fontana, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Hesperia will take on Jurupa Hills at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fontana, they will square off against San Bernardino at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
