If the Burr & Burton Bulldogs were riding high off their 64-30 takedown of the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Burr & Burton was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 52-51 to Brattleboro. Burr & Burton has not had much luck with Brattleboro recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Brattleboro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Johnathon Haskins, who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Oscar Korson, who scored 15 points.
Burr & Burton now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Brattleboro, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burr & Burton will take on Rutland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brattleboro, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mount Anthony at 7:00 p.m.
