Round Mountain had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. On Friday, they lost to Carlin by a decisive 20-40 margin. If Round Mountain were expecting payback for the 18-66 loss against Carlin the last time the teams met, then they were shortchanged. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Round Mountain off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Carlin a 1-0 record.
Next week, Round Mountain take on Wells at 7:00 PM. As for Carlin, they will face of against Virginia City. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up next week.
