Beech is 9-1 against the Commandos since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Beech Buccaneers will head out on the road to face off against the Hendersonville Commandos at 6:00 p.m. Beech is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
Last Friday, Beech didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Hawks, but they still walked away with a 49-45 win.
Carson Sisk and Genesis Harris were among the main playmakers for Beech as the former scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals and the latter scored 11 points along with three steals. Sisk hasn't dropped below two steals for 20 straight games. Dani James was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Hendersonville entered their tilt with the Golden Bears with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Hendersonville walked away with a 48-39 victory over the Golden Bears on Friday. Given Hendersonville's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 273rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Beech's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Hendersonville, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
Beech strolled past the Commandos in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 61-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Beech since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
