In what's become a running theme this season, the Kearney Catholic Stars gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They really took it to Lexington for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-14 victory on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for Kearney Catholic as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Callie Squiers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Londyn Carnes, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Kearney Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Lexington, they bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Kearney Catholic will head out on the road to take on Holdrege at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Holdrege is ranked 76th, while Kearney Catholic is ranked 68th). As for Lexington, they will play host again and welcome McCook, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
