The Preston Indians will challenge the Sugar-Salem Diggers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Preston barely beat American Falls the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians' pitcher stepped up to hand the Beavers a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Ellie Keller made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played.
Keller wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Averie Madsen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Preston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sugar-Salem). They skirted past Teton 21-19. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Diggers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Sugar-Salem got a massive performance out of Seneca Bitter, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Allie Christensen was another key player, scoring five runs while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.
Sugar-Salem now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Preston, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Preston hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .365. However, it's not like Sugar-Salem struggles in that department as they've averaged .350. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
