Baseball Recap: Stratford's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Stratford waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Regis Ramblers with a sharp 12-2 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten runs or more this season.

Stratford let Riley Spindler and Brady Berg run wild. Spindler got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Berg went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Berg has posted since back in April. Jaegar Ormond was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Stratford hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.

Stratford's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Regis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stratford will host Wittenberg-Birnamwood at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Regis, they will face off against Fall Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
