On Friday, things could have been worse for New Bern Christian Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 44-25 loss to Pungo Christian Academy.
New Bern Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alli Anderson, who scored five points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Coghill, who scored three points.
New Bern Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
New Bern Christian Academy on the road again on Monday and play against Liberty Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Liberty Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Albemarle School at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Albemarle School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
