Sam Rayburn scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 50-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks. The defeat continues a trend for the Texans in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now lost nine in a row.

Sam Rayburn lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Leona Anderson, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Those eight points gave Anderson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalaiah Flores, who put up 14 points.

Leading Pasadena Memorial to victory were Casey Crawford and Emma Reeves. Crawford went 8 of 13 on her way to 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Reeves dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. Crawford continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.

Sam Rayburn's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Pasadena Memorial, with the win, they broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-14.
