Last Saturday, New Hampton School didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Berkshire School, but they still walked away with a 20-16 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for New Hampton School.
Sean Treadwell was the offensive standout of the match as he picked up 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after only eight points in their last match, Kingswood Oxford made sure to put some points up on the board against Albany Academy for Boys two weeks ago. Kingswood Oxford enjoyed a cozy 41-24 victory over Albany Academy for Boys. Given Kingswood Oxford's advantage in MaxPreps's football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 77th in Connecticut, while Albany Academy for Boys is ranked 303rd in New York), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kingswood Oxford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stephen Bailey, who threw for 246 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Rhandyn Bair, who picked up 133 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Kingswood Oxford's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Chief Ebana was the leader with two sacks.
New Hampton School now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Kingswood Oxford, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4.
New Hampton School beat Kingswood Oxford 32-22 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Kingswood Oxford's Chase Fountain, who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
