The Trinity Shamrocks will take on the Cumberland Valley Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Trinity entered their tilt with Tunkhannock with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Trinity claimed a resounding 69-42 victory over Tunkhannock at home. Given Trinity's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Tunkhannock is ranked 617th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Trinity relied on the efforts of Reece Brown, who scored 17 points, and Owen Schlager, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Schlager hasn't dropped below 15 points for six straight games. Marcus Yeager was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Cumberland Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They secured a 83-77 W over Carlisle. The win was nothing new for Cumberland Valley as they're now sitting on four straight.
Trinity has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Cumberland Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3.
