The Belmont Red Raiders can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They blew past Inter-Lakes 61-39. The win was just what Belmont needed coming off of a 49-26 defeat in their prior matchup.
Despite the defeat, Inter-Lakes saw an underclassman step up: Riley Anderson scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
The victory got Belmont back to even at 1-1. As for Inter-Lakes, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belmont will take on Mascoma at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Inter-Lakes will be home for the holidays to greet St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
