The Babcock Trailblazers made easy work of the Sarasota Christian Blazers on Friday and carried off a 17-3 win. Considering the Trailblazers have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Lexi Haley and Brooklyn Mills made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Haley tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Mills struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. At the plate, Haley went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Mills scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance also gave Mills a new career-high in doubles (two).
