Baseball Recap: St. Peter's Prep Has No Trouble Against Kearny

St. Peter's Prep never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Kearny Kardinals as they made off with a 10-0 win. The Marauders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Kearny's batters probably weren't too happy with Eldon Lempa, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 13 Ks (he gave up a single walk). Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Lempa.

At the plate, Logan Chi was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Breihof, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

St. Peter's Prep's victory bumped their record up to 16-7-1. As for Kearny, their record is now 10-8.

St. Peter's Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kearny, they will face off against Belleville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
