New Bern Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 46-25 defeat at the hands of Pungo Christian Academy. New Bern Christian Academy found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 26 to 3 on offense.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Alli Anderson, who scored five points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Coghill, who scored three points.
Meanwhile, Liberty Christian Academy waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Bethel Christian Academy by a score of 41-34.
New Bern Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
New Bern Christian Academy beat Liberty Christian Academy 34-26 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Bern Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
