Gilmer County was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 14th to 11th in Little Kanawha. Earlier in the week, the Titans defeated Tygarts Valley 26-0.
South Harrison took down Calhoun 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Doddridge County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. David Lipscomb threw for 94 and two touchdowns and Jarrod Sandy had 76 yards receiving. On the ground Wyatt Ford chipped in 112 yards. Josh Briggs helped Doddridge County's passing attack out by catching one ball for 18 yards.
Wirt County's Joshua Trembly and John Stephens have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Trembly has thrown for 994 yards this season, while Stephens has 12 catches for 257 yards. The Bulldogs' Ford leads the league in rushing yards with 656.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when St. Marys takes on the Red Devils. As it stands, the Blue Devils are in second, while Calhoun is in 12th.
Braxton County and Liberty played the most hotly contested game in Little Kanawha this week, with Braxton County eventually emerging with a 8-7 victory.
