Clay strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Whitmer Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clay pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Whitmer, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clay will face off against Springfield at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Whitmer, they will challenge Emmanuel Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
