The Piedmont Hills Pirates will be taking part in a tournament against the Presentation Panthers  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Piedmont Hills will be strutting in after a  victory while Presentation will be coming in after a  loss.
Piedmont Hills is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. Everything went their way against Independence on Tuesday as Piedmont Hills made off with  a  17-0 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Pirates with their most commanding win of the  season.
 Michelle Torres was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March of 2024.  Kimora Perez also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
 Piedmont Hills  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .640. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Independence only posted  an  OBP of  .100.
Meanwhile, Presentation fell victim to Notre Dame and their airtight pitching crew  on Monday. They fell just short of the Regents by a score of  2-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Presentation saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Julia Simon, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Piedmont Hills and  bumps their season record up to 3-3. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to  hits: they averaged an imposing nine  hits in those games compared to only five in the others. As for Presentation, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
 Piedmont Hills took their  win against Presentation  when the teams last played  back in March of 2024 by a conclusive  13-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Piedmont Hills since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
