The Metro Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a rough 74-52 loss at the hands of North County Christian. Metro was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-24.
North County Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kendrick Robinson, who almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Lynus Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Metro dropped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for North County Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-11.
Metro will look to defend their home court on Friday against Roosevelt at 6:00 p.m. As for North County Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Mississippi Valley Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
