Softball Recap: Hahnville Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hahnville waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Academy of Our Lady Penguins a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hahnville got a massive performance out of Emma Jackson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. What's more, Jackson posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Jordyn Chaix was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-2.

Hahnville pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Academy of Our Lady, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Hahnville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Terrebonne's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Academy of Our Lady, they will welcome Cabrini at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Academy of Our Lady has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
