Volleyball Game Preview: Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners vs. Legacy Longhorns

The Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners will venture away from home to challenge the Legacy Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Southeast Career Tech came up short against Mojave and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Roadrunners in their meetings with the Rattlers: they've now lost five in a row.

Joe Philavanh put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 28 assists and two aces. He has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more assists the last four times he's played.

Meanwhile, Legacy faced Sunrise Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Longhorns put the hurt on the Miners with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Longhorns as they're now sitting on six straight.

Legacy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Sunrise Mountain between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-17.

Southeast Career Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Legacy, they pushed their record up to 19-8 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Southeast Career Tech came up short against Legacy in their previous meeting on April 2nd, falling 3-1. Can the Roadrunners avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
